Scheduling Appointments

We recommend that you make appointments as far in advance as possible to allow the most options for your schedule. Please call 510-524-8256 to schedule appointments. We do not make changes to the schedule via e-mail.

Canceling Appointments

We require 24 hours notice for cancellation of appointments. You will be charged for any appointments missed under non-emergency circumstances.

Payment of Fees

Full payment with check, cash or credit card (Visa/Mastercard/Discover) is expected at the time of service. For your first visit to our office, we ask that you reserve your appointment time with a credit card over the phone at the time it is scheduled. If you need to cancel your first appointment and have done so with greater than 24 hours notice your credit card will not be charged. We do not bill insurance of any kind (see below if you are covered by Medicare).

Insurance Policies

The Hendrickson Clinic is not enrolled in insurance plans and does not do third party billing. However, we will be happy to give you a completed insurance form (super bill) at the time of service, which you can submit to your insurance carrier for reimbursement if they cover chiropractic. We are not currently accepting workers compensation patients, but would be happy to refer you to an excellent practitioner who can handle these claims.


The doctors at our clinic are “non-participating providers” in the Medicare system. That means the patient pays for their appointment at the time of service and our office will send a bill to Medicare on their behalf. Medicare will then reimburse the patient at whatever rate they are eligible. This applies only to chiropractic treatments and not to massage appointments. You will be asked to read and sign an informed consent form before your treatment that shows you understand our policies regarding Medicare.
