Hendrickson Method Format and Certification
For over 30 years the Hendrickson Method® Institute has offered an intensive certification program in advanced massage and manual therapy. Certification is optional. Students are welcome to attend classes without meeting the requirements for certification.
Hendrickson Method Certification can be attained when students complete six 4-day modules of training – 3 Level 1 modules and 3 Level 2 modules.
Students need to take the first module, Manual Therapy for the Spine, before attending other modules. Students then need to complete the other two Level 1 level modules before registering for the corresponding Level 2 modules.
Level 1 students and Level 2 students are taught in the same classroom. Each level of training includes a different syllabus, study guide and lecture so that beginning, advanced and continuing students have unique material and personalized instruction.
Students may take as much time as they need to complete the six modules for certification. After completing all six modules, students take a practical test to become fully certified as “Hendrickson Method Practitioners“. Students who complete all six modules a second time take a practical test to become fully certified as “Hendrickson Method Therapists“.
This format allows students the flexibility to become certified Hendrickson Method Practitioners at an individualized pace that fits comfortably into their lives. The format is a convenient, relaxed way to pursue Hendrickson Method certification and earn continuing education hours over time.
Hendrickson Method Institute’s goal is to assist massage therapists, body workers, and health care providers in achieving the highest skills and confidence necessary to treat acute and chronic pain and restore joint function in their clients and patients.
